Dough Nuts
Ingredients:
1 lb flour
1/2 oz yeast
1 oz sugar
1 oz butter
1/2 pt milk
1 egg
Method:
Make flour into 3 wells. Put melted butter and sugar in one, 1/2 heated milk and yeast in 2nd and beaten egg in 3rd well. Shake a little flour over all and put to rise in a warm place for 1 hr. Then add remainder of heated milk and mix all together. Then put to rise for 20 mins. Bread into little balls. Spread on a little jam and fold over edges and allow to rise for 3 mins. Fry in deep fat and sprinkle with sugar.
