Ginger Bread
Ingredients:
1/2 flour
2 ozs butter
2 ozs sugar
1/2 gill sour milk
1 tablespoon treacle
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 eggs
1 tablespoon
Method:
Rub in butter into flour. Mix in the dry ingrediients. Beat the egg and add the treacle and syrup to it; add to mixture in bowl and enough sour milk to make a stiff dough. Put into a well greased flat tin and bake in a good moderate oven for 3/4 hour.
