Hovis Scones
Ingredients:
3/4 lb Hovis flour
1/4 lb flour
2 ozs butter
little milk
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 oz sugar
1 teaspoon cream of tarter
Method:
Put the Hovis flour in a bowl, sift in the white flour; add salt, sugar, cream of tartar and baking soda and mix. Rub in the butter, add enough milk to make into a soft dough. Roll out, cut in 8 triangles; brush over with little milk and bake for 1/2 hr in a greased tin.
